Welcome to the ACPICR website

 

 

The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Cardiac Rehabilitation (ACPICR) was established in 1995 as a body to represent the interests of all physiotherapists involved with Cardiac Rehabilitation. The group is recognised by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and The British Association for Cardiac Rehabilitation (BACR).

 

Membership of the ACPICR is open to all health professionals involved in the rehabilitation of cardiac patients.

 

Aims

 

  1. To support members in delivering an effective and research-based physiotherapy practice for the rehabilitation of cardiac patients. 
  2. To promote the role of Physiotherapy in cardiac rehabilitation. 
  3. To support members and facilitate the exchange of knowledge, at both regional and national level. 
  4. To provide and promote for post graduate education/training needs of its members. 
  5. To improve physiotherapy practice by facilitating research and audit at regional/national level and provide a forum for exchange of ideas. 
  6. To contribute to the BACR journal providing an information circular to members and promoting the role of physiotherapy. 
  7. To review and contribute to national clinical guidelines produced by BACR 
  8. The executive committee will communicate with the CSP and BACR on issues of policy, education and research. 
  9. To promote the ACPICR/CSP standards for Phase III cardiac rehabilitation.

·         A list of regional representatives of the ACPICR to facilitate interaction with other physiotherapists and health professionals working in cardiac rehabilitation. 

·         Non CSP members will be given guest access to interactive CSP

Membership

 

Membership of the ACPICR is open to all health professionals involved in the rehabilitation of cardiac patients (and runs for a year Jan to Dec).

 

Full ACPICR membership UK               £15.00

Full ACPICR membership overseas       £17.50

Associate٭ ACPICR membership          £10.00

 

٭Associate membership is available to the Universities and Departments who wish to receive ACPICR newsletters and publications. Associate members are  not entitled to receive ACPICR course fee reductions.
