She/her.  What's this?   Mairi qualified in 1999 from Glasgow Caledonian University and recently celebrated her 20th anniversary working in NHS Dumfries & Galloway! She developed the new role of cardiac physiotherapist when it was created in 2004 and now leads the physiotherapy team within cardiology.

Mairi's main interests are rehabilitation of complex, multi-morbid patients and the effective transition to long term physical activity and exercise opportunities within the rural area of south west Scotland. She is also very interested in the psychosocial aspects of rehabilitation and worked on the development of the Psychological Impact of Cardiac Disease HEARTe module.
