The British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation defines five core components for cardiac rehabilitation.
The five core components of cardiovascular rehabilitation are:
- Health behaviour change and education
- Lifestyle risk factor management
- Medical risk management
- Psychosocial health
- Long-term strategies
Physical activity and exercise sits within the 'lifestyle risk factor management' component.
